Monster House (2006)

The story started off during the Halloween, a boy named D.J. Walters was left alone with his babysitter, Zee because both his parents had left the town for the weekend. The 12-year-old boy has been constantly spying on his elderly neighbour, Mr. Horace Nebbercracker who live in a creepy looking old house in-front of his, confiscating every single thing that lands in his front yard. Chowder, D.J.’s best friend, convinced D.J. to retrieve his basketball that he lost on Nebbercracker’s lawn while playing outside of D.J.’s house. D.J. was caught by Nebbercracker in anger, making the elderly suffered a heart attack, then being sent to the hospital. Due to the reason that the creepy has absolutely no one else at home, both D.J. and Chowder went for an investigation for the house, then forced to retreat after being attacked knowing the house is alive. They met a girl named Jenny Bennett in the next morning, who was selling candies for Halloween. Seeing her going for the creepy old house, D.J. and Chowder rushed to stop her right before she gets devoured by it. Three of them called the police and tried to inform them about the house, but the police did not believe.
